The Boys & Girls Club of Rochester has temporarily suspended transportation to the Club fron Sunset Terrace, Elton Hills, Willow Creek, Longfellow, Mayo High School, Burr Oak, and Pinewood Schools. This change will not effect youth who receive transportation to the Club through the Rochester Public School District. The Boys & Girls Club will continue to provide transportation home for members who live within a five mile radius from our Center Street location starting at 6:30pm daily. The Club serves any child 6 to 18 years of age. Parents/guardians of children with special needs may make arrangements with club staff at 507-287-2300

 

Locations

  • The main Boys & Girls Club of Rochester is located at the former Holmes school building at 1026 East Center Street, Rochester, MN 55904. Phone: 507-287-2300.
  • The Boys & Girls Club of Rochester has an extension site at Gage Elementary open during the school year, and a branch in Blooming Prairie.

Hours

  • The Club is open during the school year Monday-Friday, from 3-8 PM, for 6-18 year-olds.
  • The Club is open during the summer Monday-Friday from 8-6 PM for 6-12 year-olds and from 11-7PM for 13-18 year-olds.
  • The Club is closed on weekends.

Club Membership

  • Membership cards are required for all members. Members must bring their cards with them every day and to any Club-related event.
  • A one-year membership is only $10 per year, with a $30 maximum charge per family.
  • Scholarships are available in return for two hours of Club service. Scholarship applications are available at the front desk.

Meals

  • During the school year, the Club provides an afternoon and an evening snack.
  • During the summer, the Club offers breakfast and lunch and two snacks.

Getting to the Club

During the school year, transportation to the Club is provided by the school district.  The following schools have daily routes to the Club:

  • Bamber Valley Elementary
  • Ben Franklin Elementary
  • Riverside Central Elementary
  • Jefferson Elementary
  • Friedell Middle School
  • Kellogg Middle School

The Club bus will drop off members at or very near their home. The actual bus stop is determined by information given on the bus permission slip.  Once a member signs up for transportation services, the Club will provide him/her approximate drop-off time.
