The holidays are a chance for all of us to pause and reflect on what matters most: our families and those we love. One of the most powerful ways we can express gratitude is to pay it forward. So... Ortho family, that is EXACTLY what we are going to do as part of our third annual Big Ortho Giveback!  

During the lead-up to the Holiday Party, we get to support a new organization this year-- one that has been changing lives in Rochester for over 25 years. Boys and Girls Club of Rochester.

Boys and Girls Club operates out of four locations in Rochester.  The main club is located at East Center Street, with additional after-school and summer programming located at Gage, Riverside, and Longfellow/Pinewood elementary schools.  Boys and Girls Club provides structured year-round programming for children ages 5-18. As a non-profit supported by individuals, caregivers, businesses, foundations, and grants, Boys and Girls Club membership is completely free to all, regardless of family income, high or low.  In exchange, youth members commit to Club attendance, academic success, development of strong character and leadership skills, healthy lifestyles and an appreciation for the arts.  Club is more than a daycare, and by the time members reach middle and high school, Club friends have become family. Club rules have become personal pride, and Club is home away from home.

Together, we have the amazing and humbling opportunity to “join the Club.”  Each December, Boys and Girls Club of Rochester hosts their annual Holiday Gift Event, a one-day shopping extravaganza when club kids and caregivers can “shop” for holiday gifts (all free).  In bringing our Ortho joy and holiday magic to these children and their families, we "see" those who are doing good in our community.  We get to support youth who are motivated to take school seriously, who aren’t afraid to work hard and commit to excellence.  We believe in those who may need encouragement.  We remind ourselves, and help our children and grandchildren, to always see the light in others.

- Please leave physical gifts unwrapped to provide Boys and Girls Club families the ability to choose gifts that suit their child's wants and needs.
