  • Dear Ortho Family,

The holidays are a chance for all of us to pause and reflect on what matters most: our families and those we love. One of the most powerful ways we can express gratitude is to pay it forward.

So...that is EXACTLY what we are going to do as part of our 3rd annual Big Ortho Giveback!

During the lead-up to the Holiday Party, a new organization NEEDS us this year— the Boys and Girls Club of Rochester.

  • Boys and Girls Club operates out of four locations in Rochester.  The main club is located at East Center Street, with additional after-school and summer programming located at Gage, Riverside, and Longfellow/Pinewood elementary schools.  Boys and Girls Club provides structured year-round programming for children ages 5-18.

Boys and Girls Club of Rochester receives a small amount of government support for meals; however, over 90% of their non-profit funding comes from local support, like us.

Membership is free to all, regardless of family income, high or low.  In exchange, youth members commit to Club attendance, academic success, development of strong character and leadership skills, healthy lifestyles and an appreciation for the arts.

  • Together, we have the amazing and humbling opportunity to “join the Club.”

Each December, Boys and Girls Club of Rochester hosts their annual “Holiday Gift Event”— a one-day shopping extravaganza when club kids and caregivers can “shop” for holiday gifts (all free).

This year, the “Holiday Gift Event” is the weekend after our holiday party. All items gathered at our Ortho party will go directly to the shopping event. Any donated funds will go directly to youth programming.

In bringing our Ortho joy to these children and their families, we "see" those who are doing good in our community.  We get to support youth who are motivated to take school seriously; who aren’t afraid to work hard and commit to excellence.  We believe in those who may need encouragement.  We remind ourselves, and help our children and grandchildren, to always see the light in others.

To take part in the Big Ortho Giveback, you may participate in any of our three avenues of giving: Bring an Item, Send an Item or Donate

We are grateful to call you friends and colleagues. Thank you for all the good you bring to the world.

We are honored to walk beside you.
